Frequently asked questions

Which SQL dialects are supported?

The formatter works with common SQL used by MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, SQLite, and Oracle. It only changes spacing and keyword case, so dialect-specific syntax is kept.

Does it change what my query does?

No. Only whitespace and the case of SQL keywords change; text inside quotes and comments is untouched.

Does it run my query?

No. Nothing is sent to a database — the tool only works with the text.
