JSON to YAML Converter

Convert JSON into readable block-style YAML. Strings that YAML could misread — such as yes, no, on, null, numbers stored as text, or values with colons — are quoted automatically so the data means the same thing after conversion.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some values in quotes?

YAML treats words like yes, no, on, off and null specially, so those strings are quoted to keep them as text.

Does key order stay the same?

Yes. Keys appear in the same order as in your JSON.

Is the result valid YAML?

Yes. The output is standard block-style YAML that YAML 1.1 and 1.2 parsers read back to the same data.
